Start selling →No. Paystack and Flutterwave are payment processors — they move money. DealsGate is a protected-deal platform. We use licensed payment partners to hold escrow, but the platform itself does two things they don't: it requires a certified Vet Agent to physically inspect the item, and it forbids money from releasing until the buyer approves that inspection report.
No. We are not a catalogue and we are not competing with Jumia, Konga, or Jiji. We are the trust layer underneath Instagram and WhatsApp commerce. Sellers keep their own storefronts and their own audiences — they just publish protected deals and share the buyer link.
When the buyer pays, the funds are held by a licensed Nigerian payment partner — not by DealsGate. We never hold client principal. Money releases to the seller only after (a) a certified Vet Agent has inspected the item, (b) the buyer has reviewed the report, and (c) the item has been delivered and confirmed.
The Vet Agent reports FAIL. The buyer is refunded in full — item price, buyer service fee, Vet Agent fee, and logistics. The seller forfeits the ₦5,000 guarantee. If the item passes inspection but the buyer still disputes after delivery, a mediator reviews evidence tiers.
Agents earn ₦4,200 per protected-deal inspection (70% of the ₦6,000 fee) and 60% of on-demand jobs. Payment lands in the agent's wallet when the buyer approves the report. Withdrawal to any Nigerian bank, same day, with 2FA.
